The Rangers and their fans suffered a tough loss Sunday as the Flyers struck back in Game 2 of their first round playoff series.
After the Blueshirts got out to an early 2-0 lead, the Flyers responded with three unanswered goals of their own.
The third came off the stick of Luke Schenn halfway through the second period.
That would prove to be the decider.
The Flyers would go on to win 4-to-2.
That ties the best of 7 series at one game a piece.
"We knew they were going to come back and play a better game than last time, so you know, it's going to be a close race. We didn't expect this to be easy. We just have to regroup and stay confident here and go to Phil and try to beat them there," said Rangers Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist.
"I don't think this is a surprise to anybody. They're two good teams. Both have strengths and both are trying to play to those strengths," said Rangers Coach Alain Vigneault.
The series now shifts to Philadelphia.
Game 3 is set for Tuesday night.
