The Brooklyn Nets took the early lead in their first-round playoff series against the Raptors Saturday with a 94-87 win in Game 1 in Toronto.
The Nets were trailing 76-75 with a little more than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter but outscored the Raptors 20-12 the rest of the way.
With the Nets up 79-76 with a little less than three minutes left, veteran guard Paul Pierce hit a three-point shot to give Brooklyn a six-point cushion.
