Sources tell NY1 that police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting of two people in Brooklyn, including a 13-year-old boy.

Sources tell NY1 that 21-year-old Kareem Potomont tried to run from police when they found him inside a basement apartment in the Jamaica section of Queens.

Police have yet to announce any charges against him.

Gama Droiville, 13, was shot in the back of the head at around noon Monday.

The teen survived and is in stable condition at Kings County Hospital, but may lose vision in one eye.

Investigators released surveillance video of Monday's shooting, which shows a man with a gun who disappears from view and is later seen running away.

A 24-year-old man was also shot in the leg and took himself to the hospital.

Police say they believe he was the intended target.
