Deputy Mayor Richard Buery is being sued for alleged age discrimination by a former employee.
Buery was once the head of the Children's Aid Society.
A former vice president says he forced her out because she was 61 years old.
Patricia Grayson says she'd been with the nonprofit organization for more than 20 years.
According to the suit, Buery told her that some trustees were unhappy with her performance, but she says trustees she spoke to denied it.
The suit also claims Buery forced out other older employees.
A spokesperson for the Children's Aid Society says her allegations were unsubstantiated.
A City Hall spokesperson says Buery "remains grateful for Ms. Grayson's service."
