The Brooklyn Nets are using their postseason berth to put some local musical talent in the spotlight.
The team invited singers and other musicians to audition for a chance to perform during one of Brooklyn's upcoming home playoff games at Barclays Center.
Auditions were open only to Brooklyn residents, giving a chance for up-and-coming local talent to shine.
"We're here to show our talents and how much love, just to support the Brooklyn Nets, especially since they're in the playoffs," said singer Jahmika Forbes. "So we're excited about that. Woo, Brooklyn Nets."
"I was just feeling very confident," said singer Sheimyrah Mighty. "We all get nervous, but as soon as I got up there, I just let everything go."
The Nets will play at least two home games in the first round of the playoffs.
