Police have arrested a Long Island woman after an alleged drunk-driving crash on the Belt Parkway left a man dead early Monday morning.
Authorities say 28-year-old Sharlene Numa was driving on the Belt Parkway with 29-year-old Kendall Heard at around 4:15 a.m. when she rear-ended another car.
Heard was taken taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Numa and the 18-year-old driver of the other car sustained minor injuries.
Police say Numa was treated and released into police custody.
She's charged with both manslaughter and vehicular manslaughter, as well as driving while intoxicated.
