The City Council gave the nod Thursday to Mayor Bill de Blasio's pick to head the Taxi and Limousine Commission.

Meera Joshi was unanimously confirmed to head the agency, which regulates yellow and green taxis, livery cabs, commuter vans and ambulettes.

Joshi has worked in city government for more than a decade, including her most recent stint as general counsel to the taxi commission.

With her appointment, Joshi becomes the second woman to run the agency.
