Manhattan College says head coach Steve Masiello will be reinstated after he completes his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky.

This comes after a deal to bring Masiello to the University of South Florida fell through once it was discovered that he never officially graduated college.

In a statement, Manhattan College says Masiello executed poor judgment but did not intentionally misrepresent himself.

In his own statement, Masiello said, "Manhattan College has shown me a great deal of compassion and trust during this process, and I will do everything in my power to uphold that trust."

Masiello led the Manhattan College Jaspers to this year's NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Louisville in the first round.

Associate coach Matt Grady will take over as head coach until Masiello returns. ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
