The state's health plan marketplace is reporting big signup numbers.
More than 1.2 million people have completed applications since October 1, according to the New York State of Health, which says more than 900,000 have actually enrolled for coverage.
It says almost 500,000 people are covered under Medicaid.
The state says 70 percent of the people enrolled were uninsured when they applied.
The signup period for 2014 ended on March 31, but anyone who started the application process before then is still able to enroll.
