Police are looking for a man the say tried to sexually assault a woman inside a subway station in Lower Manhattan.

They say the attack happened around 11 p.m. Monday inside the Fulton Street subway station.

Police say the 21-year-old victim was leaving the station when the suspect came up from behind, grabbed her by the neck and covered her mouth.

The suspect tried to drag the woman to the station's elevator.

That's when police say the victim began screaming, bit the man's hand and kicked the elevator's emergency button.

Police say the suspect then let the woman go.

No injuries were reported from the attack.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
