Two New York City police officers and their K-9 partners are heading to Washington State to help with the search for victims of the mudslide.

Detective Patrick Nee, Officer Benjamin Colecchia and their German Shepherds, Hondo and Timoshenko, are part of the New York Task Force 1.

The NYPD says it's a search-and-rescue team made up of the most highly trained first responders in the nation.

Dozens of people are dead and another 20 are still missing after a devastating mudslide ripped through the rural Washington town of Oso last month.
