One of the city's most famous restaurants will finally be back in business later this month.
Tavern on the Green, the once-bustling restaurant in Central Park, had to close in 2010 after the city opted not to renew the previous owner's lease, which had been active since 1973.
In 2012, the city allowed Tavern on the Green's new owners to begin remodeling the hotspot, scaling down its size and fixing its infrastructure.
They planned to open last November, but construction problems caused delays.
Tavern on the Green is now taking reservations for dinner beginning April 24.
Lunch and brunch menus will launch for Mother's Day weekend in May.
