The Port Authority is taking steps to build a new parking garage on Manhattan's west side.

The garage would hold up to 100 buses.

It would be added to the bus terminal at West 39th Street near 10th Avenue for better access to the Lincoln Tunnel.

The Port Authority applied for a federal transit grant on Friday to help pay for the $400 million project.

The agency says it hopes to open the structure by 2020. ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
