New York is one of 10 U.S. cities that will receive millions of dollars to help young people jumpstart their futures.

The Citi Foundation, a division of Citigroup, is launching "Pathways to Progress" in June.

The program will spend $50 million to help train teens for the workforce, create summer job opportunities and encourage entrepreneurship in young adults.

Citi Foundation says the project will be funded during the next three years and could help as many as 100,000 people.
