Faulty electrical wiring is being blamed for a deadly fire at a Brooklyn apartment building early Monday morning.

Police responded to a call of a fire at 2954 West 8th Street in West Brighton shortly after 1 a.m.

After the fire was out, police officers found 93-year-old Lipa Briks unconscious inside his apartment.

Officials say Briks was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
