Guernsey's calls it the greatest collection of guitars to ever go to auction, and guitar lovers will have a chance to own a piece of that collection later this week.
Guernsey’s has 265 rare and vintage guitars that will go up on the auction block. The oldest guitar dates back to 1862.
Some were even owned or played by famous musicians including Eric Clapton and Mick Jagger.
"How many of us grew up loving guitars? Knock on any door and ask if you have a guitar in your home, there's likely to be one in a closet. So now at a certain age when people have earned money, they like to go back and try to acquire something they treasured,” said Guernsey's president, Arlan Ettinger.
The collection's overall value is in the millions, and many pieces are expected to draw seven figure bids.
