Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man they believe is behind a string of bank robberies across the city over the past few months.

Authorities say the man seen in the above surveillance photos is linked to eight separate robberies in Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx dating back to January.

He's gotten away with cash in most of them.

The most recent incident happened yesterday at a Popular Community Bank on the Lower East Side.

Police say the man demanded money from a teller, who refused, and he took off empty-handed.

No injuries have been reported in any of the robberies.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
