A Queens barber shop owner is under arrest after police say he stabbed a man to death inside his shop Thursday following an argument.

Police found Carl Richardson, 19, unconscious with multiple stab wounds around 2 p.m. inside Select Stylez Barbershop located at 227-14 Merrick Boulevard in Laurelton.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Cedric Simpson, 34, was arrested and charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say the victim showed up to collect $40 Simpson owed him for a Bluetooth headset.

The two got into an argument and that's when they say Simpson stabbed Richardson with a pair of scissors.

"It's just so senseless people losing their lives over meaningless things," said Carl Richardson, the victim's father.

"Apparently he was on the floor he was in pain he said pray for me," said Johann Richardson, the victim's mother. "And he lost his life for that he was a good kid."

Richardson's parents say the teen was going to college to become an occupational therapist and was selling the headsets to raise money for a car to get to work. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
