Police say they have no suspects and no motive in the shooting death of a Bronx cab driver.
Police say 44-year-old Zedekiah Slade had several passengers in an unlicensed livery cab around 4 a.m. Sunday.
They say he was stopped at the intersection of Park Avenue and East 138th Street in Mott Haven when somebody came up to the car and fired a number of shots into it.
Investigators say the passengers fled.
Slade had gunshot wounds in his arms and torso, but managed to drive himself to nearby Lincoln Hospital.
He died there on Tuesday from his injuries.
"He used to talk to everybody. Everybody get along with him," said one person. "He used to always come out and get his Chinese food and go upstairs to eat. You know what I'm saying? He was very, very nice."
Neighbors told NY1 that Slade lived in an apartment building located about 20 blocks from where he was shot.
Police are still investigating the shooting.
