The New York City Police Department is investigating after a car carrying three off-duty auxiliary officers collided with a van Tuesday night in Brooklyn.

Investigators say the car hit the van on Belmont Avenue in Cypress Hills shortly after 11 p.m.

The van then hit a parked car, which was unoccupied, and caught fire.

The auxiliary officers and the three people inside the van all suffered minor injuries.

It's still not clear what led to the accident. ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
