The 44-year-old Hunter College safety officer who died in the collapse of two East Harlem buildings was laid to rest Friday.
Dozens of Griselde Camacho's colleagues turned out to bid her farewell.
She was one of the first victims to be identified last Wednesday.
Camacho was named by her union as the Peace Officer of the Year in 2010.
She also volunteered at the Bethel Gospel Academy.
'It was nice to see different aspects of her life come together, and we got to know the whole person," said one person.
"Just amazing. Something that she honestly deserved," said another.
Camacho's mother was also seriously injured in the blast.
She was originally listed in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
There's no word on her current condition.
