Two victims of the explosion and buildings collapse in East Harlem were remembered by friends and family Thursday.
Hunter College public safety officer Griselde Camacho was one of the first victims to be identified after the building collapsed last Wednesday.
Her colleagues from Hunter College said that working with her was a blessing.
"Hard-working. I worked right up on the platform with her with the bishop, and she's truly going to be missed," said one.
"She was a sweetheart, and I just remember her as with a smile on her face every morning that I came into work," said another.
Another victim, 22-year-old Alexis "Jordy" Salas, was also remembered in East Harlem.
His body will be flown to Mexico for his burial.
The Mexican consulate is picking up the expenses.
Eight people died in the explosion.
