A member of the family that owns the James and Affinia hotels was found dead of an apparent drug overdose Sunday, and police say he's one of three men who may have overdosed on the same drug within a few hours.

Investigators say they were called to an apartment on Union Square West Sunday night, where they found 28-year-old Charlie Denihan dead.

Police say crystal meth was found in Denihan's apartment, but a witness told police that the designer drug GHB may have been there as well.

Earlier that day, police found two men dead in an apartment on West 19th Street.

Investigators say 34-year-old Shaun Murphy lived there, but 37-year-old Jovin Raithz did not.

GHB was found in that home.

Police are investigating whether the same batch of drugs led to all three deaths.
