A valuable Norman Rockwell painting that went missing from a storage space in Queens last year may have been found.
Police say they are working to confirm that Rockwell's "Sport" has been recovered.
The 1939 painting was used as a cover for the Saturday Evening Post and is signed by Rockwell.
The New York Post says a private detective found the painting in an undisclosed location and returned it to Welpak Art Moving and Storage in Ridgewood, NJ.
The painting disappeared in September, only a few months after it was sold at auction to a private collector in Alabama.
