Bus riders in two more boroughs now have access to the MTA's Bus Time program.
Riders can check the location of buses in real time on the web, their smartphones, and by text message to find out how many stops away a bus is and what time it's expected to arrive.
The program expanded to Brooklyn and Queens on Sunday and has been well received by bus commuters.
"Bus tracking is good because you will know where the bus is at, the exact location," said one bus rider.
"The schedules posted, they're not really reliable a lot of the time, so this helps out a lot. A lot of people use their phones all the time, so while you're at the bus stop you're able to pull it out, pull up your bus number that you're looking for, and it'll tell you when it's coming," said another bus rider.
With the latest expansion, Bus Time is now available for every bus route in all five boroughs.
