The Brooklyn Nets have signed center Jason Collins to another 10-day contract.

The 35-year-old recently made history, coming out as the first openly gay athlete in a major American professional sport.

While under his initial 10-day contract with the Nets, Collins appeared in five games, scoring three points and five rebounds in a total 36 minutes on the court.

The contract extension could lead Brooklyn to negotiate a long-term deal with Collins. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
