A 16-year-old Brooklyn girl tackled a robber who stole her cellphone in the subway and ended up with his cellphone, according to police, who are hoping that the pictures taken from his phone can help identify him.

Police say the incident happened back on January 24.

They say that the girl was on a southbound F train near Avenue N when the suspect allegedly grabbed her phone and ran to the next car.

The girl followed the suspect, tackled him and wrestled with him.

Police say that's when she grabbed his phone.

The suspect was able to push her off and flee the train, according to police.

The girl was not injured.

Police say the suspect is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds.
