A 47-year-old man is dead after a car crash in Brooklyn Tuesday morning.

Police say Phillip Crucilla of Staten Island was traveling westbound on Sutter Avenue in Brownsville shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday when his SUV hit a traffic light pole.

Officers found Crucilla slumped over in the driver's seat and took him to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Crucilla was the only person in the car, and no other cars were involved in the crash, according to police.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
