A Manhattan music teacher has been sentenced to two years in jail for molesting a young girl.

The sentence for 70-year-old Ilya Lehman also includes five years of post-release supervision.

Police arrested Lehman in July, saying he abused the girl at her home during a lesson and was caught when the child's mother walked in.

He then pleaded guilty to repeated sexual conduct against a child in January.

Lehman is the owner of The Early Ear Music School, which has locations on the Upper East and Upper West Sides.

Multiple reports say that Lehman offered the family money and offered to leave the country for a year to keep the allegations quiet.

Lehman's attorney has said his client is "deeply remorseful." ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
