A recent string of car break-ins has residents in one Brooklyn neighborhood on edge.

Police say they've received seven complaints about cars being broken into on Clinton Avenue in the past week or so, but residents say more than a dozen cars in the area have been broken into during that time span.

"My wife was passing by and told me that the window is broken, and it's the second time, actually," said one resident.

"It's really curious. Every day, I've seen five or six car windows at least, just on this street alone, for the past two weeks," said another resident.

"In the middle of the night, we hear car alarms going off all night, because I'm up with the baby. So I'm up, and I hear them all night long. Yeah, it's been a consistent thing," said a third

Police say that 48-year-old Kerry Blackwell has been arrested and charged in connection with four of those break-ins.

They say that officers are still conducting surveillance in the area. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
