A 17-year-old was wounded in a shooting at a Harlem deli Friday afternoon.

It happened at 128th Street Gourmet Deli at around 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say the young man was shot in the leg and grazed in the neck.

He was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he's expected to recover.

"All of a sudden, we hear these gun shots. It must've been about six or seven shots," said one person at the scene. "Then, we see about, maybe eight young fellas, young guys running over, running, running, running. And this other guy, he put the gun away. He had a black coat on. That's all I seen."

Investigators say they believe that four or five men who ran from the scene are responsible for the shooting.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
