A man is fighting for his life following a hit-and-run in Manhattan in which investigators say they used a witness photo to arrest the alleged driver.
It happened around 7 a.m. Friday.
Police say the 63-year-old man was crossing Bowery when he was hit by a red Infiniti sedan making a left turn at Hester Street.
Investigators say the driver got out of her car and looked around before getting back in the car and taking off.
While she was outside the car, police say a witness took a picture of her and gave it to police.
The car was later found in Brooklyn with a male driver behind the wheel.
Police arrested the man, and they say that led them to 20-year-old Gayle Sheniqua.
Sheniqua now faces several charges, including leaving the scene of an accident.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he is in critical condition.
