Police Commissioner William Bratton says he will be marching in this year's Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Midtown.

Speaking at an unrelated news conference Thursday, the city's top cop kept his comments short and to the point.

"I will be marching in the St. Patrick's Day Parade, that's correct," Bratton said.

Mayor Bill de Blasio, City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, and Public Advocate Letitia James will not be taking part because of the parade's refusal to let LGBT groups and individuals march under their own banner.

The City Council will not march as a group, but individual members can take part.

Parade organizers say gays are welcome to march in the parade as long as they do not identify their sexual orientation.

The parade will take place on March 17. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
