If all this snow is giving you the winter blues, why not take a break with a game usually associated with warmer weather.
The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club is celebrating its grand opening this week in Brooklyn.
Featuring 10 regulation courts and a full service bar, the new venue located at 514 Union Street in Gowanus hopes to bring customers a taste of vintage leisure life.
"This is a totally new concept, no one has ever made a shuffleboard bar like this before. And we really didn't want to be a bar with a shuffleboard court, we wanted to be a shuffleboard club with a bar," said Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club Co-Owner Ashley Albert.
"I think it's a very relaxed game, I think it's a fun game that everybody can play," said Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club Co-Owner Jonathan Schnapp.
The club even has a special set up that lets food trucks park inside to serve hungry players.
"We built this special fireproof room that they can drive directly into the building and serve," Albert said.
Food and drink aside, the real star of the show is the game itself. The club already has 800 people signed up for league nights.
"I think it's kind of the sport you didn't know you were missing in your life," said Didi Bethurum, a shuffleboard player.
"I really like a game that is social so I can talk to my friends while I'm doing it. I've met some new, fun people doing it, and also being able to have a piña colada in your hand while doing it is a major bonus," said Jessi Arrington, a shuffleboard player.
"The staff is just amazing and helps you learn the game as well as get you a drink. It's a win-win," said Creighton Mershon, a shuffleboard player.
The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club opens on Wednesday.
