The New York Road Runners hosted some of the best runners in the country at the 107th Millrose Games track and field competition this weekend.

The event featured a variety of events including sprints, distance races, relays, hurdles, pole vault and the weight throw.

The meet gives athletes of all ages a chance to compete under the same roof: the Washington Heights Armory in Manhattan.

"I get to put high school athletes, college athletes and professional athletes, not just in the same meet, but, even in the same race," said Assistant Meet Director David Monti.

"It's just a really big honor because, it's like, you're stepping where they've stepped, and you're winning where they've won," said one participant.

"It makes you feel so much more significant. And, well, I'm hoping to get some autographs today," said another.

The Millrose Games began in 1908 as a small event at a local track club.
