There's an increase in the number of high school students who take Advanced Placement exams.

According to the College Board, 38 percent of last year's high school grads statewide took at least one AP exam.

That's a seven percent jump from just 10 years ago.

Advanced placement classes and exams can earn a high school student college credit.

According to the college board, the most popular AP subjects are history and social sciences.
