The Marquee at the Ed Sullivan Theater has taken a trip back in time in honor of The Beatles' performance there 50 years ago.

It was made up to look exactly as it did the night the Fab Four were set to take the stage.

The group thrilled dozens of screaming fans on February 9, 1964, when they appeared on American TV during "The Ed Sullivan Show."

The young upstarts from Liverpool ushered in the British Invasion of rock acts.

The music icons returned to New York several times, including their legendary show at Shea Stadium in August of 1965.
