The city says crews are hard at work repairing all the potholes that have cropped up because of all the snow and salt.

The city Department of Transportation closed down part of two eastbound lanes of the Belt Parkway overnight for pothole repairs.

Part of two westbound lanes will be closed tonight from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Saturday so they can be repaved.

The work is being done between Knapp Street and Flatbush Avenue.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area during the repairs and use alternate routes.

The DOT says this work is the first of several maintenance efforts the Belt will undergo this year.

It says it has addressed more than 61,000 potholes across the five boroughs so far this year.
