More than 500 runners dashed to the top of a city landmark Wednesday night during the 37th annual Empire State Building Run-Up.
The runners climbed 1,576 stairs up to the skyscraper's 86th floor observatory.
Thorbjorn Ludvigsen of Norway won the men's race in 10 minutes and six seconds.
Australia's Suzy Walsham won the women's event for a record fifth time, making it to the top in 11 minutes, 57 seconds.
