Sources tell NY1 both parents of a 2-year-old girl who was found unconscious in her Queens home Monday had a history with the city's Administration of Childrens Services.

Police were called to the home located at 141 Beach 56th Place in Arverne just before midnight.

Investigators say Kevasia Edwards, 2, was found unconscious with bruising around her mouth.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Police say the girl's mother has a long history with ACS, and is being interviewed by police.

Police are searching for the child's father.

There were four other children believed to be living in the home. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
