While the Beastie Boys have left their mark on hip hop history, their mark won't be left on a New York street corner.

Community Board 3 has voted not to name a corner on the Lower East Side "Beastie Boys Square."

The corner of Ludlow Street and Rivington Street is where the legendary group of quirky rappers shot the cover for their 1989 album "Paul's Boutique."

The Beastie Boys had hits such as "No Sleep Til Brooklyn" and "Fight For Your Right To Party."

Their founder, Adam Yauch, better known as MCA, passed away in 2012.
