The best of the New York Penn League are coming to Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Cyclones announced the league's 10th Annual All-Star Game will be played at MCU Park on August 19.
Officials remembered hosting the first NYPL All-Star baseball game and highlighted Coney Island's ability to thrive while recovering from Hurricane Sandy.
"We had the inaugural game in 2005, I was here for it, it was a lot of fun to put together, a lot of fun to be a part of. So I was really excited that we had a chance to do it again,” said Cyclones general manager Kevin Mahoney. “We get to show people from the League, we get to show our fans how much Coney Island has recovered since the storm.”
"The Cyclones, by bringing together the All-Stars and playing on that field, are sending a strong message: Coney Island is back, we're going to continue to build, baseball is alive and the people of Coney Island are also alive,” said Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
Non-season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets for the game in April.
