The 84 year-old man who says he was injured while police tried to ticket him for jaywalking is now suing the city.

Lawyers for Kang Wong announced they're filing a claim for $5 million in damages.

The incident happened January 19 as Wong was crossing the street near Broadway and West 96th Street.

Wong's attorneys released the above images of his injuries.

Wong was hospitalized and bleeding from the head after police allegedly pushed him against a wall, beat him and threw him to the ground, causing him to lose consciousness.

"How could this happen in this city today? We have a mayor who is a proud progressive; we have a police commissioner who has committed to improved community relations. All criminal charges against Mr. Wong must be dropped,” said attorney Sanford Rubenstein.

A spokesperson for the city Law Department says they haven't seen court documents yet, but will evaluate Wong's claims.
