Police arrested Thursday a Queens man who they say stole an SUV and tried to sexually assault a 13-year-old girl who was asleep in the back seat.

Police say the SUV's owner reported it stolen Thursday afternoon at Sutphin Boulevard and 109th Avenue and told officers that his niece was inside.

Investigators say they tracked the car down in South Ozone Park and arrested 23-year-old Kapri Dickson.

They say Dickson tried to sexually assault the girl, but she fought him off.

Police say he hit her in the face and eventually threw her out of the car.

Dickson is facing several charges, including attempted sexual assault, sex abuse and grand larceny auto.
