A man is dead after a fire ripped through an apartment building in Queens.
The fire happened shortly after 6 a.m. Friday inside a four-story building on 159th Street in Flushing.
Crews called to the scene found a 63-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive.
Police say he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Fire marshals are looking into the cause of the fire.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
