A review of a bank account co-owned by a Brooklyn landlord who was found dead in a dumpster has found that money was improperly removed.

A court-ordered review of the account controlled by Menachem Stark and his business partner revealed that $1.7 million was recently taken out.

The account had contained $2 million that Stark's company was supposed to use to maintain a 74-unit apartment building.

A court-appointed trustee has asked the judge to investigate the missing money.

Stark's body was discovered in a burning dumpster in Great Neck on Long Island on January 2.

Police released surveillance video that they say shows one of two men that they believe forced Stark into a van.

The investigation into the father of seven's death is ongoing.
