Police are looking for a man accused of assaulting a cop in Brooklyn.

The NYPD says officers were trying to arrest the man seen in the above photo at the Hoyt/Fulton subway station in Downtown Brooklyn last Friday morning.

Police say he punched one of the officers in the face and pushed him down a flight of stairs before running away.

The officer was treated at the hospital for injuries to his head, back, hands and arm.

His attacker is described as 6-foot, 190 pounds.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
