U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say $150,000 in counterfeit money was discovered inside a passenger's bag at JFK airport last month.

Investigators say the phony cash belonged to a woman who was returning from Colombia.

Officials say they were tipped off by the smell of glue and later discovered the bags had been altered to hide the money.

A total of 1,500 $100 bills were discovered.

The woman has been arrested, charges have not yet been announced.
