People are still dealing with the fallout from a fire that burned for 30 hours at a CitiBank branch over the weekend.
Some residents and business owners next to the fire are struggling with fire and water damage.
"We're closed because we have no power, no gas, and we're trying to get cleaned up," said one person. "A lot of water damage. We're not sure that the equipment works in the basement."
"We're drying up, deep cleaning, and we have cleaning people coming to detect the smoke," said another. "Soon, we'll be OK."
City Councilman Mark Levine of Manhattan said that officials he spoke with don't believe the building at Broadway and 111th Street will have to be demolished, but a final determination won't be made until engineers have inspected the building.
