An 11-foot pipe fell from a construction site and hit a woman in Midtown Manhattan Monday morning.

The Department of Buildings issued violations to a construction company after the incident occurred on 42nd Street between Madison Avenue and Fifth Avenue at around 8:30 a.m.

The woman is hospitalized but is expected to survive.

The DOB immediately issued a stop work order for the site.

A Department spokesman said that the company will receive violations for failure to safeguard persons or property during construction and failure to report an accident.

They also said that the scaffolding did not conform to approved plans.
